Film: “Tell your tale, Little Bird”

The Arab Canadian Cultural Group presents a film screening, followed by a discussion and Q&A with Arab Loutfi, the film maker and director of the film.
Arab Loutfi is a Lebanese film maker, writer and journalist. She is the director of many films and documentaries. Her recent works include the following: “Tell you Tale, Little Bird”, “Over their Dead Bodies”, “A Short Visit”, “The Upper Gate”, “Dark Room, Radiant Life”… and many other films.
About the film: “Tell your tale, Little Bird” is a documentary about Palestinian women fighters, filmed in 1993. It recounts the experiences of seven Palestinian women in the national liberation struggle, including the experience of arrest and imprisonment. These women took part in the military fight of the Palestinian people back in the sixties and seventies. Through their tales, we understand what made these women the symbols of their people’s fight.
