Khalil Mozain & Gaza’s Red Carpet Human Rights Film Festival

Join us for a small private screening, to welcome Khalil Mozain to Toronto from Gaza. Khalil is an inventive and prolific filmmaker and video artist who has been making films since the 80’s in Gaza, including Gaza 36mm, a documentary ode to Gaza’s 12 lost cinemas (all bombed), and his remarkable 2014 feature Sara. He’s also the founder of the Red Carpet Film Festival, an annual human rights film festival in Gaza which screens innovative international cinema (2017’s will feature a program of recent Toronto shorts).

Join us for an intimate evening of clips, discussion and refreshments, hosted by Vicky Moufawad-Paul and Mohammed Abuzayed in conversation with Khalil.  Khalil is very keen to meet fellow activists and filmmakers, and get to know our solidarity and arts communities.
