Reel Activism, in solidarity with Grassy Narrows, presents

A workshop featuring Stuart Schussler

Stuart Schussler, is the organizer of No One Is Illegal’s campaign to support the June 2nd River Run rally, and will hold a workshop on the dire situation facing the inhabitants of Grassy Narrows.  Members of Grassy Narrows First Nation will travel 1,700 km to Toronto for a week of events culminating in the June 2nd Queen’s Park rally — a call on Premier Kathleen Wynne to clean up the mercury that the Ontario government allowed to be dumped into their water in the 1960’s – poison that continues to be the source of grievous damage to their children and the environment.

Schussler’s 90-minute workshop includes placing Grassy Narrows’ struggle within the context of the indigenous resistance to colonization, and discussing what role all Canadians can play in solidarity with this struggle.
