Sikuris St. Lawrence in Concert

Friday, October 28, 2016 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

| $20

Music from South America

In 1983 a group of South American musicians living in Toronto would gather at the legendary St. Lawrence Market to play their music, exchange ideas and practice their instruments. While busking from 6 am to 5 pm every weekend, the St. Lawrence Market musicians became a signature of Toronto for many years. Musicians like Loreena McKennitt, Celtic and Folk music lovers came together with the South American Sikuris to play and share the Market as their universal stage. These musicians helped make Toronto the capital for World Music in Canada. Now after 30 years, these Sikuris are gathered again to share their music and pay respect to the ancient music of the Andes.
